Capsaicin (Cayenne pepper)
Topical application of the extract of capsaicin decreases pain. Capsaicin is believed to act by depleting substance ‘P’ which is involved in the pain response. Initial application may cause an increase in burning for several days. It must be applied 4-5 times a day. It can take a few days before the full effect is observed.
Before a medication is prescribed, inform your doctor.

After a positive response to the pain relieving medication, the patient can then resort to more active rehabilitation.
