Scar Tissues
All injuries heal with scar tissues, which are masses of tiny fibres deposited in an area of injury by the body. They begin to form within 24 hours following any injury. The fibres are laid down in an unorganized cross-stitched pattern which is tough and rather inflexible. Therefore, wherever scar formation occurs, the underlying tissue becomes rigid. However, if the fibres are stretched while being deposited in the early stages of healing the scar becomes more flexible.
